How to Make Easels for Your Small Picture Frames
How to assemble my ready made picture frame?
Assembling your ready-made picture frames is easy. You will need a few tools before you begin:
- Artist’s Tape
- Glass or plastic cleaner (we use Brillianize)
- Cleaning Cloth
- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
- Screwdriver
- Pencil
- Flexi-Point bender
Carefully remove your frame from the packaging, remove the cardboard backing with the flexi-point bender, and place your image within the mat (border). Use a small piece of tape to hold it in place while you view the image to ensure it is positioned where you want it. Then use more tape to secure the artwork in place. You can use cardboard if you do not want to put tape directly onto your art. Once the artwork is fastened in place, you can place the matting over the top of it, and then position your glazing on top of the matting. be sure to use your cloth to clean both sides of the glazing before you insert it into the frame.
Once your image has been framed it is time to mount the frame. Use your pencil and screwdriver to mark and fasten the supplied hangers to the back of the frame, and then run the hanging wire through the two brackets. You can use small nails or screws for smaller frames, wall anchors for medium-sized frames, and wall mounts for larger, heavy frames.
Good luck, and let us know if you have any trouble with your ready-made picture frame!
How to order custom picture frame?
Step 1 - How to determine image size?
Please have an accurate width and height of your image ready. Always write width first then height; example: 11x9.

What is crop?
This is the area around your image. Cropped means that we will trim your artwork to show the art images, and do not crop means that we will frame the entire artwork including the edges around the artwork. We only need this information if we frame your art. There is no charges for this option.

What is Matt Style?
This is matting style for your frame. We have five styles A, B, C, D, & E for you to choose from (below). You can leave this field blank if you do not want a mat with your frame. There is no charge for this option.

How to determine window size?

Specify your mat sizes for all around your image. The size of the mats around the frame is from 1.5" to 5" normally; but, that is not a limit by any means.
This means that your image size plus the size of your mat all around the image. This is the size we base all our charges calculations. We do not count the width of the moulding (frame style) as part of your total frame size. Please review this size to see if it fits your needs. Otherwise, you can make is smaller by choosing small mat size all around, choosing smaller frame style, or cropping your image; or, you can make it bigger by choosing a larger mat size all around your image, adding a second frame, or choosing larger frame style. However, you will receive a frame larger frame than the specified total frame size on the order form depending on the width of the moulding that you choose.
How to choose your frame style?
You have many options for choosing your frame style. We have three different kind of stock material in our showroom: Custom hand painted rustic wood profiles, custom designer styles from the leading frame suppliers, and economy stock material. Our economy stock material is limited to the most used and most contemporary choice of frames for artists, photographers, and art retailers. We will try to accommodate you to your style and taste.
How to choose your matt color?
We offer three stock item choices of white, off-white, and black mats in either regular or acid-free choices. Thousands of other colors and choices are available through samples and catalogs in our showroom.
How to choose your glazing:
Depending on your budget and need, we have regular acrylic .040, UV acrylic OP3, and Non-glare acrylic P99, regular glass and musium glass.
How to choose your mounting options?
Basic - tape only on top of the image and hang - is included with all orders of custom framing. Dry mount ( heat activated) vacuum press is recommended for all artwork such as photos, posters, prints, diplomas, fabric and more. This process removes wrinkles and helps to place the art flat mounted on the backing board of the frame. Vacuum Press is not recommended for original paintings.
For framing a floating art, you also have the options of adding a 1/8" spacer to separate the art from the glazing. You also have an option of choosing clear mount tissue - cut to the size of your artwork - for your frame.
